MEET WITH US
Whether you want to talk about your situation or just grab a coffee, meet the members and listen, the Prostate Pedallers provides a safe and welcoming environment.
Meeting other people with similar experiences can be invaluable when you are affected by cancer. We offer a chance for people to talk to others and come together with people who understand how they are feeling, share concerns and get insights from those who have gone through similar experiences.
Prostate Pedallers helps fill the gap between medical treatment and emotional support. The common experience among members of a support group often means they have similar feelings, worries, everyday problems, treatment decisions or treatment side effects.
Participating in our group provides members with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose and likely to understand one another.
Talking openly and honestly about your feelings improves your ability to cope with challenges.
Connecting with our members helps you stay motivated to manage chronic conditions or stick to treatment plans.
Whether you want to have a one on one to discuss a specific topic or just have a chat with the group, Prostate Pedallers provides a platform to de-stress and connect with others.
Meeting with our members improves understanding of your disease and your own experience with it. This helps you gain a sense of empowerment, control and hope.
Prostate cancer sufferers are often given treatment options which can be overwhelming. Getting practical feedback about treatment options and experiences from our members helps with making those choices.
Being well informed enables members to help others which can be a very rewarding experience.
One of our most popular trips is to Jordan's Mill. An undulating gentle ride from Ashridge to Biggleswade, followed by a refreshing dip in the lake for those brave enough!
A barbecue, a few drinks and a catch up with fellow Pedallers make for a great day out.
