Wobblers Ride Again!

Appearing at shows with our amazing new gazebo, the dreadful weather and various holidays have meant a short break for our Wednesday rides from Harpenden. However, you can't keep a Wednesday Wobbler down and today saw the team head to Harpenden's Highfield Oval for a 9.30am start. A rare outing for the sun enabled us to sit outside in our shorts and t-shirts at the Oval café and catch up but there was some cycling to be done so we headed off to the Nickey Line.

A few aches and pains meant a gentle and supportive ride which took us past the Bluebell Wood, through Rothamsted, loop back onto the Nickey Line and then off to Redbourn. Despite The Hub beckoning with it's tempting buns and cakes, we controlled our immediate cake requirements and turned back up the hill to Harpenden and the Oval Café.

On the way we not only told some bad but funny 'Dad jokes' but we also encountered a group of lovely ladies escorting a gentelman on a recumbent type cycle with a what seemed to be just one pedal. Ivan, or should we say, Bicylcle Repair Man, came to rescue and reattached the pedal explaining the counter clockwise approach. The group went on their way eternally grateful! The weather was on our side still so we grabbed some coffees and cakes, sat outside and had a proper catch up.

The Wobblers are back!
