Breaking News! Sun Comes Out on Pedallers Ride!

The rain stopped, the clouds cleared and the sun shone down on us! So, Pedallers Ivan, Dave and Andy headed along the Nickey Line from Harpenden to Redbourn today.

A trip around Redbourn common, seeing the cricket ground being prepared for the start of the season in April and then off to The Hub for a coffee or two and a catch up. Then the gradual uphill climb back to our starting point, Highfield Oval in Harpenden.

The Oval, which opened in 1912, is a beautiful spot and was once the largest National Children's Home in the country. It closed in 1985 and is now under the stewardship of Youth With a Mission, an international volunteer mission movement. The onsite cafe serves up great coffees and cakes, a perfect way to recover from a Pedallers ride!

Lovely ride and great to see the sun making an appearance!
