Glorious Round Trip From Whipsnade to Redbourn

The Sun shone on the Pedallers today and it was wonderful to have Geoff the Welsh Wizard,  Michael the Bear, Demolition Dave and Artful Andy with the regular crew. We also toasted Slim Jim who joined the 70’s team today, happy birthday!

Thanks Paul for the donation to the Pedallers of a very nice mountain bike which will be very useful indeed. Thanks also to Dave for the coffees at The Hub in Redbourn.  It was no mean feat dealing with the most complex coffee order of all time!

Nineteen miles ish and a thousand feet of climbing, a taste of mud but not too much of it, a perfect Pedallers Saturday ride!

P.S. Some of the Pedallers asked for a quick reference guide to Charles' technical ride terminology. Feel free to print this handy pocket guide:

Technical Term            Meaning

Downhill Section           Uphill Section

Level Route                     Uphill Route

Slight Incline                 Steep Incline

Undulations                  Series of uphill climbs

Dry, firm path              Wet, muddy path

Nearly there                  Another 5 miles to go

Great challenging route today Charles - thanks!
