Prostate Pedallers Blog
Today was a Great Day!
There are some days that aren't that good, there are some that are just okay. And there are some that are simply great. And today was a simply great day for the Pedallers. An eight strong crew met up at the Oval ready to walk or cycle as would be dictated by the weather. No rain on arrival so a ride it was.
There were many great things about today. Our new Pedaller Geoff on his inaugural ride. Our new Pedaller Lionel out on his second ride. Paul back in the saddle after a long lay off due to PCa related issues (hopefully now fixed) and Jim looking fitter and stronger after his own health issues and time off the bike. And not forgetting all of the Pedallers with our new PP jackets showing them off and making us look like a cohesive group with a strong message and conversation starter. Geoff and Lionel...your jackets are on their way!
So a gentle paced ride was devised to give those getting back their fitness some more recovery time. Over to Redbourn via some thick mud on the Nickey Line, veering off at Hemel and then getting ourselves back on the Nickey Line at Redbourn. A decent 16 miler which was perfect as the rain started to fall.
Back to the Oval Café to meet up with Marko who was not riding today and a chance to get to know our new members better, discuss new PCa medications, recount Pedaller stories both new and old and laugh of course. A very important Pedaller ingredient and much needed at times.
So many things to look forward to in 2026 including our annual trip to France. Watch this space!
