Summer Ride from The Oval to Redbourn
After a few weeks off over the Summer due to holidays, treatments and other commitments, the Wobblers were back on track this week with a Thursday meet up at the Oval In Harpenden. We were blessed with good weather and a new Pedaller, Michael, who joined us for his first ride.
Not having been on a bike for some time, the spare Pedaller bike was cleaned and prepped for Michael to have a test run around the car park a few times. Before long we headed off for a gentle ride down the Nickey Line towards Redbourn. Once around the Common and then back up the gentle climb towards Harpenden and the ubiquitous Oval Café!
We sat in the sun with our coffees and cakes and welcomed our new member to the Pedaller way of life. Great rides, great company and great support. It does so much for the body and mind to get out and exercise, especially with such a great bunch of men.
Seven to eight miles covered today and a good catch up after a prolonged summer break.
Onwards and upwards for the Pedallers....there are murmurings of a 2025 France trip in the pipeline....
