Peddars Way and Ridgeway Track
An early and chilly start this morning at 8.30am from Ashridge House. With Paul leading we made tracks through the forest which was once again bereft of any mud so it was a hard and rutted. We eventually made our way along many undulations passing the Peddars way and Ridgeway track then eventually via a chalky track we reached the top of Ivinghoe Beacon, taking in the fantastic views albeit quite misty in the distance.
On our return and unfortunately Mark was thrown off his bike allegedly claiming he had been pushed off by an over enthusiastic E-mtb rider but after a VAR via photographic evidence this theory was disproved. Hopefully it was only his pride that was hurt although I think he might feel it later. However this accident did damage his wallet, initially giving him a problem in opening it when we got to the Bakehouse Cafe, this was remedied later and he was able to pay for a round of coffee for us (thanks Mark).
Thanks to Paul for today's ride and for the first coffees and flap jacks. Well done for today's ride and the chat and natter which was felt to be just as important as the ride itself.
