Pedaller Donation and Cherbourg Training

Ashridge is a beautiful spot to meet up on any day of the year. Whether you are walking, running or cycling, the forest has endless routes to explore and Ashridge House provides a stunning backdrop. We are blessed to have this on our doorstep.

This Saturday’s Ashridge meet up saw the Pedallers gather at the Bakehouse Café’s courtyard at 9am sharp. This was a special day and not just because of the superb weather. We were being met by Morag, a heart rehab specialist nurse who, over the past 10 years or so, had looked after ‘Crazy Bob’ a dearly departed Pedaller. Morag had joined us to hand over a cheque for £150, money which had been raised from donations at Bob’s funeral.

It was such a huge pleasure for us all to meet Morag and her husband and thank you again to Bob’s family for the donation - every little helps us get the ‘awareness’ message out there and support fellow PC sufferers.

Following some pictures being taken to mark the occasion, the Pedallers headed off on a 30 mile road bike ride to help get the riders ready for the 120 mile Cherbourg to Caen trip in June. The group returned to the Bakehouse to sit in the sun, chat and drink their coffees. Another great Pedaller day.
