Early Autumn Meet Up

With Pedallers having busy schedules over the Summer there was a bit of a break from riding as a group. Many members still popped out for ad hoc solo bike rides but the beginning of Autumn sparked many Pedallers meeting up at the Oval in Harpenden.

A ten strong crew set off at 9.30am on MTB's and gravel bikes for an 18 mile tour around Harpenden. The ride included the Nickey Line, Rothamsted Park, Harpenden Common, Beeson End and Childwickbury. We had to keep eyes on the clock as we had an important meet up with a new Pedaller, Rick. Always a special occasion, welcoming a new Prostate Pedaller!

Teas, coffees and a good smattering of cakes were ordered and consumed at the Oval Café. A few Pedallers then set off for another ride, this time heading East and then North towards Luton. Heading up the steady climb towards Someries Castle the smaller group of 5 headed back towards Harpenden, through St Peters Green and Bowers Heath taking the long hill back down to Harpenden at a decent speed. Another 8 miles completed.

Really great to get some of the group together again, catch up and have a few laughs. And of course, always great to welcome a new Pedaller!
